11/16/11 HS Scrimmage @ Logan Elm

The bus for the HS scrimmage at Logan Elm on 11/16/11 is leaving at 4:00.  Players need to be in the locker room, ready to go at 3:45.  The scrimmage begins at 6:00 and Logan Elm Basketball will be feeding us after the scrimmage.  We anticipate arriving back at JHS around 9:00pm.  All players will be riding the bus to the scrimmage and home from the scrimmage.

Open Weight Lifting

There will be open weight lifting from 7am-8am, at the weight room, every weekday until 8/8/11, when the "No Contact" period begins. It will be open to anyone who is interested in lifting. Coach McKinniss and(or) Coach Walburn, girls JV coach, will be there every morning.

Eastern Ohio Team Camp Intinerary

Here is an approximate itinerary for our trip to the Eastern Ohio Team Camp:

June 15, 2011

6:00am: Depart from JHS

8:00am: Eat at a McDonald's between Marietta and Byesville

10:00am: Check in and register for Camp

June 17, 2011

11:00am: Leave Eastern Ohio Team Camp

3:00pm: Arrive at JHS

Players need to bring:

-Multiple pairs of shoes, socks, shirts, underwear
-Toiletries(soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, baby powder, gold bond, etc.)
-Private Vehicle Travel Form and Camp Insurance and Waiver(this form is on the brochure)
-Some money. Coaches will order and go pick up pizzas on Thursday night for the players.
-At your own risk...ipods, phones, etc. There will be very little cell service there...I'm not recommending these things.

In case of an emergency, I will have my cell phone on at all times and I have cell service. My # is (740)709-1378.

Team Camp Registration

We are attending the Eastern Ohio Team Camp again this year. You can register by logging on to eosportscomplex.com. We are asking that each family pay the $90 deposit up front and the Roundball club will reimburse you that $90 when we leave for camp. Roundball has agreed to pay for all costs for team camp...big thanks to them!! You must register by May 15, 2011 to attend camp. OHSAA State Championships Trip

The following is the Itinerary for the Saturday, March 26, 2011 trip to Columbus for to see the OHSAA State Championships:

7:45am-Meet at JHS Parking Lot

8:00am-Depart for OSU

9:45am(approx)-Arrive at OSU

10:30am-Division 2 Championship Game

1:30pm-Division 4 Championship Game

4:30pm-Division 3 Championship Game

8:30pm-Division 1 Championship Game*

*We will probably NOT be staying for the 8:30pm Division 1 Championship Game. If we do decide to stay, all players will inform their parents via a phone a call.

WHAT TO BRING:

-Spending Money. All players will be given their $20 deposit back to them, but will probably need extra spending money for meals if they plan on eating at the Arena. We will probably not have time to eat in between games and there is no place close to walk to.
-Roundball will be providing a snack for the trip home. Sandwiches and a drink will be provided.
-COATS! We will spend sometime in between games outside, waiting for the next game to start and the weather is supposed to be cool...BRING A COAT!

Post Season Awards Ceremony-3/16/11

The Jackson Ironmen Boys Basketball Banquet will be held Wednesday, March 16th at 7:00pm in the JHS Commons Area. All High School players will be introduced with their teams and awards will be given. All Junior High players will be introduced and are asked to help with set up and clean up for the evening. Junior High players will need arrive by 6:30 pm. If additional info is needed, please contact Coach McKinniss or Roundball officers.

The triple header scheduled with Logan for 1/21/11 at home has been postponed due to weather. There is no make up date yet. Practice is doubtful for today due to the Level 2 snow emergency placed on Jackson County by the Sheriffs Department.

The game with Logan has been rescheduled as a triple header for Wednesday, February 16th, 2011.

1/20/11-BASKETBALL ACTIVITIES CANCELLED

All basketball activities, for all grade levels, will be cancelled this evening due to the early dismissal from school and impending snow storm. We will inform HS players tomorrow in regards to the status of tomorrow nights home game against Logan.
