Mandatory Parent-Player Meeting-October 26th, 2010

We will hold our Mandatory Parent-Player meeting on Tuesday, October 26th, beginning at 6:30pm in room 110 at JHS. All boys and their parents, grades 7-12 interested in playing basketball this winter need to make plans to be in attendance.

Beginning at 6:30, a representative from Dixie Sporting Goods will be in attendance to give parents and players the opportunity to purchase Nike Basketball shoes at a discounted rate. There will be 3 different shoes available for purchase at a 30% discount from what you can purchase in stores or online. The shoes you will have the opportunity to purchase are the "Nike Hyperdunk 2010"-$88, "Nike Zoom Soldier IV"-$77, and the "Nike Air Max Hyped"-$62 and can be viewed by clicking on the following link or copying and pasting to your browser address window and scrolling down to pages 14/15/16:
http://www.niketeam.com/v2/new/PDF/HO10/HO10_6_M_BBall.pdf. Any shoe purchased from Nike through Dixie Sporting Goods will be replaced at no cost if the shoe should go bad for any reason. We will be wearing the red/white versions of each shoe and the price listed on this page is not the price we will pay. Players do not have to purchase these shoes. These shoes are a cost effective alternative to store bought shoes, but are the same quality you will find in stores or online.

This year, Roundball is holding the Reverse Raffle again. Just as in the past, we will be asking players to sell tickets for this. If a player sells 1 ticket, they will receive their travel gear for the season and will be able to keep this. If a player sells 2 tickets, Roundball will also pay for their shoes. This is Roundballs one major fundraiser for the year and it takes everyone participating to make it a success! You do not have to sell tickets to get travel gear and shoes, but you will be asked to pay for it out of pocket. Angie Eisnaugle has a list of patrons who purchased tickets last year and we will share this list to get tickets sold this year.

Once shoe sizing and purchasing is complete, we will begin the meeting part of the evening. There will be packets passed out to all grade levels that will include program rules, expectations, practice schedules, and game schedules. There will be a Roundball meeting following the Parent-Player meeting that anyone interested may stay for.

We are very excited about the season being near and we look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday night!
